divide segment / divide length

I tried to divide an inclined (30 degrees) straight line segment with divide segment / divide length but the segment lengths do not match my input ..... what is happening ?

actually let me rephrase what is the difference between divide distance and divide length?

i.e. div length in an arc is precise but not div dist

That's because DivideLength travels a given length along the curve and DivideDistance finds the next point given a distance in space. The icons kind of symbolize that.

So for your arc, DivLen divides given arc length, DivDist divides given chord length.
