algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi just something simple can lead to frustration. I am trying to trim off the extra bit outside the boundary in gallery 1. But somehow I realize I am not able to find the intersections thus I not able to shatter further down. Does anyone know why would it happen? Is it because it is a poly-line?

Hard to tell from a screenshot. Is your boundary a single curve or a set of four?
If the boundary is more than one curve better join them to one. Otherwise GH will match boundary 1 to spiralsegment 1, boundary 2 to segment 2 and so on... and check only those combinations for intersection.
The spiral is a polyline and the boundary is a rectangle which is also a polyline. A polyline is read as a curve, right? So the approach using CCX is appropriate? But it seems i dun get any results at all.
Again: hard to tell with only a screenshot.
CCX is the right way. Likely cases for failure is data mismatch, which shouldn't be a problem for intersecting two single polylines, or the curves don't actually intersect because they aren't on the same plane. Other than that, the component should turn red, indicating an error.
