tiling a stockinette pattern

Hello folks, 

i am working on a knitted mesh surface comprised of a stockinette pattern (compliments of the folks at geometrydepth :) and am still fairly new with the GH - the definition is easy enough to follow and understand - however, i am not getting the same result from my own setup as in the original def. 

Is it possible that it might only be a small oversight that is creating the diversion? or is there big chunk that has been overlooked?
