algorithmic modeling for Rhino
We are happy to announce version 2.0 of our fast and versatile optimization component goat. Grab yourself a copy from
http://www.rechenraum.com/goat/download.html
With this release, goat is a Rhino 5 (Grasshopper 0.9.0014 or later) component only. Previous versions of goat for legacy Rhino and Grasshopper are available through above download link.
Besides this shift towards Rhino 5, this release features
We hope you are enjoying this release as much as we do,

Thanks you simon,
It is true that using goat is more convenient to search for a single value.
By cons when research spans multiple values goat is more limited.
Have you ever thought that, and offer several possible values?
How did you develop components that fits grasshopper?
If you want to optimize several output values at the same time, you usually combine them into a single value by (multiplying each with a weight and) summing them up. This is a common approach in optimization theory to minimize/maximize multiple objectives.
best, simon
I probably misspoke. What I meant is different.
In a given problem, when there plusiuers values that correspond to the solution, it is not possible to have all possible solutions with goat.
Thansk.

Hi,
I see. This is currently not supported and would be best tackled in one of the global optimization solvers. We'll see how to support this in the future.
thanks for bringing this up, simon
Hi,
is there the option to use GeneLists now?
Thanks,
Phillip
Hi,
no, GeneLists are currently not supported. It is on our TODO list for the next release. I'll let you know once GeneLists may be used as variable inputs to goat.
best, simon
