algorithmic modeling for Rhino
"retrieve first shape's layers (black, green, red) on the second that it's only defined by points." I'm not understanding what you mean here.
Sorry man!! I would have the same curves and layers (1st shape) on the 2nd shape (on right). The 2nd shape is a unique closed curve where there are some points (point's that define the ends of 1st shape's curves).
I "exploded" my shapes and I have all segments that make up the base curves. Now I need to sort segments according to layer grouping defined at the start. Hope that someone could help me!!
I don't think grasshopper recognizes layers or other groupings. Sorting objects according to layers can be done with a Rhinoscript separately or with a VB.net script within Rhino.
Isn't possible to compare result segments to initial shape for grouping?
I get it. Yes you can do that. I was thinking that you were using the word 'group' in regard to Rhino object groups. Apologies for my misunderstanding. I'll look at it later tonight.
Thanks a lot, sorry but I'm stucked on this!! ;-)
