Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody,

I have some vertical elements and I want to rotate each one around its midpoint according to a gradual change in its roation degree BUT I don't know why these segments move from their primary position in XY plane.

Is there any better solution for such rotations(for example connecting to a graph or gradiant of colors?)

thanks

I would try it like this.  The sub-surfaces were also out of order hence the sorting components.

thanks Chris.It was really helpful

seems strange that the domain would go out of order like that. Wonder if the component has some bug?

I was wondering if it should go to the bug list also?

I think so. It is repeatable.

SurfaceSplit doesn't retain order. I don't know if there actually would be any logic to retain some kind of order for the spilt results with multiple curves on multiple surfaces.

In your case the SurfaceSplit seems kind of unneccessary anyway. If you leave it out, everything works as it should.

thanks Hannes

thanks for the info

So, you think it can be a bug?!

Not a bug.  The IsoTrim Component retains the correct order and as Hannes has pointed out the Surface Split component is unneccessary.

Here is my method changing a input directly to degrees.

I,m so thankful
