Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find all the center points of the grid enclosed by a polyline.

However some center points within the polyline are not selected and on the other hand some of they are selected outside the polyline.
Can someone help me?

thanks a lot.

Do not use the points from rectangle grid again, just plug an area component to the output of the region intersection.

thanks sherif,

I'd like to ask you something else, if you can help me:

if I'd hide some of these points in a random way, what you advise me to do?

there is random battary in grasshopper

you can use "random reduce".

or you can use "random" with a "domain" (between zero and the number of points you have) then you can use the output with "cull index" to remove points and cells too.

Thanks a lot, I used the 'random reduce' component.

But I still have a question on this: if I would find a defined number of points in the grid so that the sum of the distances between these points and another point out of the grid is minimal, adding also a gradient to show it, how could I do this?

maybe you should upload your files ,it is convenience for others to answer your question.

right,

my definition tries to find a a defined number of points in the grid so that the sum of the distances between these points and another point out of the grid is minimal (using galapagos to find the optimized result), adding also a gradient to show it. I used the 'random reduce' component to select some points but I see that they aren't near...

I think I made some mistakes...

hi J[D],

i like very much your profil image.

can you tell me from whom the picture is?

thank you

Hi RWNB!

That image is a work of Marcos Novak,

his visionary compositions are really interesting!

Could you help me to find a solution to my problem?

I started work with grasshopper recently but I think it's full of possibilities hardly explored!

sorry, currently i have no idea and time to do something for you!

i can look tomorrow to try something,

if you have not already solved it.

but maybe this def. help you to find a way.
