algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I asked a similar question and received some awesome answers a couple of days ago. I think they were a bit over my head. I'm kind of looking for the simplest way to do something; I want to move a point to the 0 point in the z-axis. I want the x and y axis to remain untouched. Basically, I want to take a point if it's above the grid, and move it to the grid.

Actually, let me go ahead and try messing with this for another day. If I still can't figure it out, I'll post this again tomorrow. I'll leave the topic open for an hour or so just in case someone was already trying to help.

decompose the points into x, y, and z, then use the xyz point component to reconstruct them with a z value of 0 (the default).

or project to plane using the xy plane.

Thanks a lot Benjamin. I was able to use what you said to finish what I was trying to. I really appreciate your help.
