how can I export list of data to Excel or word file

For exporting data from Grasshopper to Excel or .txt file, consult the Grasshopper Primer, page 48.

Basically you will need to connect the data you want to export with Grasshopper's yellow Panel, right click on it, and choose "Steam destination", choose the appropriate file format (.csv which can later be imported into Excel or txt - the same).
Then right click on yellow panel again, and choose "Steam contents".

when importing to excel, what is the separator between branches in the CSV?

If you install Lunchbox there are a couple of very useful Excel read/write components.
