Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have a series of X and Y cor-ordinates, which has been derived from an excel database longitude and latitude. I have managed to create a myriad of points, but now all i need to do is turn these points into cross referencing lines. As there are about 700+ points it would be really useful and time saving if i could figure out how to do it.

I have attached a copy of the Grasshopper file and XL database.

anyone?

That doesn't seem to be a GH file.  How would I open it?

Chris it's a tabular data file format, which can be imported into Excel or any other spreadsheet format.

Niki is this what you want:

Download and open the amsterdam.xls file first.
Then download and open the amsterdam.gh file. Set "" to True.
Adjust the distance by which the points will interconnect between each other from the slider, or use the method "a" (all points intersect with all the other ones).

You need a plugin called Lunchbox, in order for this definition to work.

The .csv is tabular format but what is the other one 'octet-stream'?

It's a grasshopper Xml (.ghx) file, but for some reason she deleted the .ghx extension part from the file name.

Thanks djordje, I get it.

that is almost what i want, however is there a way to connect every point to every other point?

Yes, use the method "a" from the drop menu in the grasshopper definition I attached.

you are a star. thank you
