Creating surface4pts from intersecting lines (panels)

Hi Everyone!

I have a question, I'm having some trouble trying to create a paneling pattern from my surface, I've managed to create the "diagrid" I would like to use, but as of now I only have the lines, and what I would like to do is get a surface in each one of these diamonds, does anyone know if thats possible?

Attached are the files!

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

You could use sdrCNF component from Geometry Gym plug-in! You can also offset, fillet, and thicken the interstitial surfaces:

Thanks Rene for your quick reply! 1 question though.. what I want to do is what you show on the dia2 photo, but what do I have to plug into the C input?

all the exploded lines/curves from your diagrids!

thanks!! is this the website where I should download it? and if it is.. which one is the one that contains that particular component? :) thanks!!

here's the website:

http://ssi.wikidot.com/downloads

you'll need to follow instructions for enabling the license though :)

Rene, Im having some trouble with the component.. do you know what im doing wrong? Maybe its because its a curve surface?

I'm not completely sure; it might have to do with culling duplicates, could you please upload the updated rhino/gh files?

make sure all lines are individual segments, so that sdrCNF works, look at this:

http://digitaltoolbox.info/grasshopper-intermediate/split-a-curve/

the split seguments should go into 'C'

hope it helps!

That was it! Thanks so much!
