algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Just quick question for the GH guru! I would like to invert the surface curvature value and I used the method of (1 - value) in order to invert since the value is reparametrized from 0 to 1 but it seems not working properly. Any advice?

Hi,

Can you elaborate?

What result are you expecting?

What do you mean by "invert the curvature value"?

By reparametrized do you mean remapped? Why do this?

Usually "invert" means 1/x, which makes sense with curvature as it will return the radius (Cmin = 1/Rmax , Cmax = 1/Rmin).

G = Cmin x Cmax   (Gaussian curv.)

M = (Cmin + Cmax) / 2  (Mean curv.)

Thanks a lot for quick reply. As you can see from the attached picture, there is surface curvature value coloured up from blue to red as an indication of degree of surface curvature value. I would like to reverse this colour value so that I can use this value to rotate sub surface panel. I am using mean curve right now. Thanks.
