how to solve the precision problem for numeric data

the 3 points in the box are close to the outer surface of the box, but the “inside” component determines the 3 points are on the outer surface.

how to solve the precision problem like this?

I konw this problem from surfaces. this happens if the surface is transformed in rhino (like trim) and than grasshoppers refers to the "original" information. Maybe this is somhow your problem?

I think the problem here is that Rhino deems the points are on the surface within tolerance. Rhino uses the absolute tolerance setting of a document to identify when two objects were probably meant to intersect, or were probably meant to be coincident.

If you do not allow for any tolerance, then it becomes exceedingly unlikely that any point will be exactly on any surface in 3D. You'll need to adjust your tolerance settings to reflect the accuracy you're looking for.
