Waffle a Shelf

Hi I'm trying to laser cut a model and put together a definative, so Far I've already created the  shelf itself, but now I need to intersect, and push it onto a 2d plane. I've tried the tutorial from Digitaltoolbox and some other prims but they dont seem to work for me on 9.00 (latest grasshopper)
