Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm running a very basic operation of sbox..everyhting is running ok if I use a surface deriving from a loft or ready made shapes..however when I take surfaces I create manuly from trimming a shape from a sphere or manipulating basic shapes for instance,I get an error on the sbox battery. any idea on how to bypass this?

It'll help if you post a screengrab of your geometry and your definition...
here's an example of how grasshopper treats the trimmed surface..in this example it's a surface morph comand..but you can get the idea..the base surface is identified as the whole surface before it was trimmed and I get the result on a whole sphere..
