Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

New to grasshopper and attempting to create a mesh that responds to a point attractor

I've been working in grasshopper for approximately three weeks. I have a project idea where I want a mesh or terrain to respond to an attractor where the response is a smooth deformation in the "z".

I have added Kangaroo and weaverbird and feeling that I have gotten way over my head. Are these the tools that I need to create what I am looking for? Can someone point me in the right direction? Is there a definition already written that performs this action?

I appreciate any assistance!

You don't necessarily need those plug-ins.

See the file for one approach using only native components.

Thank you! This works. You are awesome!! I'm working through all of the components to see how this works. I appreciate the quick response. Now I have to figure out how to make it more organic.
