algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello,
The 'Save' Component accepts a flattened list of objects and it will save multiple objects under a single file. Is this not the behavior you want?
Perhaps you can clarify with a specific example or post a definition.
Thanks,
-Nate
Hi Nathan,
It's great to hear from you .
Yes, "save" component can bake a list of object into one single file .But it seems that he cant understand gh "tree" .See picture below:
Giulio Piacentino's bakeattributes script component can bake multi lists of data into multi layers .However, by using your Save component , I cant achieve this .
What’s wrong here ??
file attached. Thanks .
Hello,
Apologies for my delayed reply. The Save component currently does not allow for multiple layers to be saved to a file.
The component works by 1. baking the objects to a layer and then 2. selecting the recently baked objects by layer and exporting them to a file. The last step is what makes this component different than Guilio's Bake attributes and, similarly, my other bake component. I don't have an immediate answer other than I will need to take another look at how the component works.
I'll try and get that sorted out for the next release... I can't say when that will be exactly since these tools are developed in my free time.

Hi Nate ,
I just found that Localcode neally do this work .But Localcode doesnot support Chinese
characters as layer names and I have to do some annoying click work .Hope this helps a little .
Hi Nate,
Thanks so much for your work on this component. I have a similar question, and thought I'd respond here for help.
I'm trying to use the Lunchbox Save component (Rhino 5 Beta, 64-bit, GH 0.9.0014) to save several different objects with different colors- however, I'm having trouble doing so.
I don't care about the layers, it's just important for me that the colors and objects are saved separately. When I execute this, however, the points are all the same color. What do you think?
Thanks so much!
Dan
