why those offseted curves don't connect?

I attached the screenshots below, please check them out

my original curve is a square-spiral one, all the way up from bottom to top,

and then I offset it, each line, however, doesn't connect to each other?

why?

and how to fix it?

really really appreciated.

Hi Jim choo,

you should "join" the curves first... then offset!
it's the same in rhino ;)

Hi Jim,

offsetting works given a plane. But the curve is not planar. So, if you know that the curve is a square-spiral, how about just making a new one with a larger radius?
