algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Tree branched

Hey everyone,

Anyone have any ideas how to create a CNC pattern of branches from something like a japanese plum tree?  I see a lot of trees from L-systems, but they are 3d, and all I'm looking at are 2d branching structures to cutout.  I've seen some hoop snake stuff that is pretty cool too.

I believe rabbit has 2-d L systems.

Thanks, I have Rabbit, and trying to create something like this with it, for CNC is something of a project, that's for sure.  But definitely easier with it.
