algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I am new in GH and I know you are helpful people.
I can not solution from anywhere.I think it is very basic question.
I script a surface in GH and I want to take render. Script is working. No problem.
But I can not select surface in rhino or I can not define any material for render.
What should I do?
Main question is : How I import or send or define surface in rhino.
Thanks

All the objects in Grasshopper can be transferred to the Rhino Document through the action of Baking. If you right click on a component in GH you will see the option to Bake in the context menu. This will place the object in Rhino with only the "by Layer" attributes, which you can then edit in Rhino.
Some times the right click method does not work because it incorporates some extra functionality like grouping objects and selecting layers etc. If this happens then there is an alternative from the Solution Menu or from the Radial menu (space bar) the icon is a fried/baked egg.
If you want to set the material properties etc in GH then you will need to use Giulio's BakeAttributes component. http://www.giuliopiacentino.com/grasshopper-tools/.
@Giulio, I feel like a pimp every time I recommend this component! :)
I should also mention that you can assign materials to objects in the Preview Component without the need to bake to Rhino however this will just display in the Rhino window whilst GH is active and cannot be Rendered using applications like V-Ray etc.
haha, you make me laugh, danny... lets make a pimp Giulio´s BakeAttributes component club. I am (quiet sure) a member of this club, too. :-)

I'm in! BakeAttributes is great. Though I hate this activate toggle.
The recent versions of GH do bake attributes and have methods you can override to bake your own. I started out investigating Giulio's code and ended up going a totally different way for my own tool.
I'd love to see all of Giulio's exposed attributes handled the way CustomPreview does. Like, create a set of attribs, connect them to the Geometry in a component, bake that like you would with any other component. If you just plug a string, it's treated as a name. Plug a color, it's the object color. Plug a number it's the line weight... or whatever.
P.S.: and if you're running Maxwell, you can use Scarab
Thanks for your interest and kind reply dear Danny and Hannes
