algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Architectural Geometry is a pretty good one...
fantastic, thanks
do you happen to know the difference between the academic and professional editions?
If i remember right i think its just the cost. For the academic one i think i sent my student ID as proof. As bought mine a few years ago. Its an expensive book but as it will never really date its well worth the investment.
yea I will definitely be purchasing it, just curious of the difference.
as I can see from book excerpt, it tells a lot about practical side of parametric design - do you know some good books that are about theory ?
There are some links here
http://www.grasshopper3d.com/page/library-algorithms-and
but which one to focus on to get some nice theory about all aspects of parametric design, not only about nature or i.e. genetic algorythms ?
There was this discussion, back when there was a "Theory" section...
I think my book collection may grow a little this month ;)
Elements of Parametric Design by Rob Woodbury is pretty good as well I find. Here's a review by Daniel Davis. His blog has several book reviews which you might find useful..
thanks
I guess anything Bently publishes in their Building Analysis and Generative Design category might be useful.
Also this book might be good, but I don't think it's out yet.
The New Mathematics of Architecture
Mark and Jane Burry are at SIAL (RMIT), which is also where Daniel Davis is at...
