Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello fairly new to grasshopper, and I have a quick question for you guys.  I'm trying to move all vector points away from the center of the circle say 1mm.  I tried pt(pointpolar) but i could only get the points to move in the x y or z, instead of a more offset move.  I would also like to alternate each point on the line so the first point moves out 1 mm and the next point moves in -1mm.  Any suggestions would be very appreciated.  Thank you.

with my def, how would I thread the two lists back so they are numbered like the original list. If I was merging two trees that I culled, they would remember where they belonged and fit nice and tight.

I would use the weave component in this case

This would be my approach:

Create a surface so that you can get the Normals for the direction of movement.

with all the moved points you can pass them through a Flip Matrix component to change rows to columns etc

I'm stunned at how easy that was, I must have messed with this thing for 4 hours trying to connect those points.  I think that's the hardest part about grasshopper is not having a quick reference guide.  Thanks a lot.

Danny I have a question, when you add the interpolation curve why does it make the curve in the V direction and not the U direction?  If I wanted to make another curve in the U direction how do I do that?  Thanks

Alright guys I have one more question.  I was able to pipe all these new curves within the grasshopper definition, but now I want to create a parametric surface with the sweep and profile curves.  I can bake the curves and sweep it within rhino but I would like to do this within grasshopper so the surface will respond to parameters.  I've tried the sweep components, loft, and revolve but they don't seem to respond well to the data.  Any suggestions?

Hi Cameron, did you try "flatten." Each of the intCrv should be flatten for it to loft.

Okay So I've noticed something strange within my definition, when I just the V slider on the surface divide, it seems to kink and distort my circle, and also it pipes to surfaces at that spot.  Any ideas and or fixes?
