Creating I-beam that changes according to different parameters

Hello,

I have just started learning grasshopper and I am trying to recreate Mies van der Rohe's Crown Hall in Grasshopper for a school project. I would like to rebuild the i beams used for roof suspension and column in grasshopper and show that the size of the beam changes with different parameters change in the building. (i.e. if the building gets taller, the columns need to get bigger, etc)

I have attached a simple sketch of the my idea, I am struggling with making the I-beams. Do I draw them with polylines or are there any other ways?

-p.s. I have downloaded a plugin called Geometry Gym, but I haven't got feedback on license request and it seems fairly complex for first time user.

Thank you!

You have to have specific criteria for the changes in the I-beam dimensions.  Not knowing what those might be I offer this generic box column suggestion as to a general method.  GeometryGym could be quite helpful with the generation of the specific I-beam sections.

I end up working out the GeometryGym, but this also helped thanks a lot!
