algorithmic modeling for Rhino

i created a series of curves and baked them back to rhino. for exporting to .ai the creation creation order is important. as the shortest curve is created first and the longest last i want to sort them according to their lengths before baking. is this possible?
thanks for any help     roberto

Can you give an example how the draw order for geometry from Rhino makes a difference in AI?

Are you using some kind of a script to give each curve a different AI color and layer so they will visibly overlap?
in this (simple) case i dont work with layers and assign the colors in illustrator later. only the order of creation determins which object is on top.
the (closed) curves are overlapping, so the first object partly covers the second, the second covers the third, etc.
now if i create rhino curves in the order 1,2,3,4,5,... the order in illustrator (from foreground to background) after importing the curves will be 2,3,4,5,...,1.
OK, I think I follow, but then do you really want to sort the curves based on length? Or area?
length is fine in this case.
seems it works now.
not shure if this is the best solution ...
