Vector field

I would like to create the vector field with grasshopper. I know that there are some plug in allowing to create the vector field but without using the plug in, what might be the way of creating vector field? Can anyone guide me a bit? Thanks in advance.

I know you said no plug in but I would say use Flowl because why make life harder.

Haha. You may be right but even flow L seems to me it is quite difficult to control over it but I will give it a go. Thanks Michael always.

AS STATED HERE ALSO, IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A VECTOR FIELD YOU WANT TO VISUALIZE THEN USE SPM VECTOR COMPONENTS.

Thanks a lot for your advice. I have got one more question. Is there any way that vector field recognize the object? I mean can I generate the vector field only around the object?
