Extract a set of lines in specific directions form a mesh.

Hi All

Sorry if this is a really dumb question but I've tried to do this for a whole day and without any succes. Is it possible to extract form a mesh a specific set of lines  - let say in the direction like in the picture attached below. I've tried to get them as a one of the face edge by using GH Tree Item and Branch component but it doesn't work. The problem is that at the moment all points or faces are in a totally random order and I don't have any idea how to organize them to get such a result. Ideally I would like to get a set of lines as a tree contain particular lines as branches. Is anyone there that can help me? Thanks in advance.

Hi Peter,

I'll be really impressed if there is an easy way to do this using native grasshopper components.

I added a mesh path detection algorithm to my curve network processing utility.  If you want to give it a try, follow these instructions to install latest version of StructDrawRhino.  File is attached.  If you need them in sequence, there is still a step needed to sort them accordingly.
