algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Replace polygon with module

Hi, im new with Rhino and Grasshoper,  i have a file with hundreds of polygons and   i would like to automatically replace all the polygons with a modulo or a predefined shape that fits in the size of the polygon. Is there is a way of doing this automatically?  Do i need grasshoper for this? can anybody point into the direction of doing this?

Hi dr Octopus,

 

at first what are you exactly mean, when you write polygon, because there are different names in different softwares?

Do you mean geometrical polygons (triangle, quad, pentagon, hexagon, etc.) or do you mean mesh faces (in Rhino it is called like this in Cinema 4D it is called polygon)?

If you mean polygons = mesh faces then I think this discussion is maybe interesting for you.
