algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi guys,
I'm a newbie and have a pretty basic question. In my gh file I have two circles equally divided and the points connected by lines. These lines are then shattered into smaller sections and a point drawn at the start and end of the new lines. I now wish to connect each point to the equivalent point on the adjacent line (eseentially creating a horizontal ring beam). Hopefully it's fairly clear from the ghx file.
Any help would be much appreciated,
cheers,
Phill

the initial circle is in the xy plane. you divide it and the points are organized in a circle, along the xy plane.
You move the circle up and divide that and again, the points are around the circle, in the xy plane.
Then you connect the points from circle 1 to the points on circle 2 to create vertical lines. These points are organized along those vertical lines.
In order to create "horizontal ring beams", you need to alter the way the points are organized. in this case, you could think of it as needing to "flip" the order of the points from running vertically, to running "horizontally".
The flip matrix component will do this for you.
There are quite a few good topics that discuss the flip matrix component.
aha! Flip matrix, thanks
flip matrix worked for me! thanks guys
