Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, I'm currently building a geometrical form for an architecture project and I can't seem to be able to trim the scaled down surface from the original surface (the bigger one). Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

BTW, if someone finds the geometry interesting and can write a script, i will high appreciate it.

Hi michelle,

I have a same question with you. Why grasshopper can't trim a surface eazily? But I also find a trimed surface is difficult to be edited. So,maybe we can find another way to get the surface which we need.

I tried to use Srf4Pt to build these surface. but I can't understand your work clearly, so lost two of them. There is the ghx. Hope it's Helpful~

The same question: How to trim the surface eazlier?

Hi Skywoolf,
Thank you for your input. However, somehow i cannot open your attached file. I was trying to turn the surface into thin shells (Solid) but its too hard with this geometry since the vector has to go all directions.
Anyway, How to Trim surface with overlapping surface?

Thanks
