Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey all, this is my first real grasshopper thing, I've been reading the forums and going through some tutorials. Great community!

Anyways, I'm making a diagrid blanket structure from a surface that is lofted from 3 curves. What I really want to do is get a better integration of the diagrid (tertiary structure) into the secondary and primary structure (the medium and largest size pipes). You'll find that the definition treats the two as separate, so there some funky overlap with the two. Also, I would like to essentially take a steel wide flange beam, or another component I modeled and make that piece wrap the same curve, like the pipe does. Would that be a sweep?

My inspiration for the project is the Seattle Central Library. Please let me know what you think, how I can improve, and fixes to my definition if you like. Thank you!

Hey,

you have to link the SrfDevsion U nad I Input by (for example) a multiplication. then you have a relation between secandary and primary structure. The profile you can sweep or loft. But the best way is the GeoGym tool (download this one here in the forum).

Best Regards
