Trim Surface?

Did I manage to do this before?
Some how I can't find a way to Trim a surface or Split it!
It is me or it can not be done?
I hope it can be done without a Solid.

Thank you so much. You have no idea, after a year off GH (and being a beginner anyway), I had basic problems with subcrv and this one. I lost the flow.
