Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey David,

Would it be possible to add a component that would allow us to assign linetypes like custom previews?

Thanks,

ryan

Hi Ryan,

bit tricky, line-types are defined inside the LineTypeTable in the Rhino document which means they can disappear and reappear very unexpectedly from Grasshopper's point of view.

I'll need to ask around how exactly line types work in the low-level display.

Hey David,

I know you are probably thinking long term, but even just 7 or 8 generic ones hard coded into a custom preview component would be fine for here. It wouldn't really need to get access to the Rhino document's linetypes (although I could see people wanting it if this can of worms get opened).

Just need a way to visually seperate contruction curves that are centerlines, boundaries, things like that instead of just being able to change the color.

Thank you.

ryan

You are aware of the Dash Pattern component right? It might tide you over until the real thing comes along.

Yeah, but you are starting to spoil us with all these goodies, I thought I'd ask.  ;-)
Hello David, could you please advise me on how to set the dash and gap lengths for the Dash Pattern component? I can't figure it out. Thank you. Jiri
