Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear All,

I was wondering whether it is possible to have line segments on a plane that can be formed only in a certain orientation? I'm trying to create some lines that can only be created which are in angles of 45 degrees (sort of like the Ortho function in Rhino). Can this be achieved in Grasshopper?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

have you got a picture to go along with that?

Hi David,

Something like this (see attached image) - what I want to do is to have the lines generated between a grid of points to 'travel' only in 45 degree increments....ideally if between 2 points, a line cannot be generated oriented in 45 degrees then it could be rebuilt so that it 'zigzags' in 90 degree segments between them.

Thanks

Ben
