algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I am developing a series of different textures to be CNC into the exterior faces of furniture. I have been using the Box Morph a lot however i find it quite hard to get more of an organic feel from the sub divided surfaces.
What I am trying to achieve is a sine wave texture that can be applied to a surface with fillets on all edges. I am using the loft and move command to get something close but my web is getting pretty large and sill no go! If anyone has an idea of how to attack this pattern i would greatly appreciate it!

I posed a question a while back about making a definition that was similar to the texture command in Enroute 4. Essentially it nests lines across your work area. They can be straight, wavy (sine, etc), random, etc, in all 3 dimensions. Then you use different bits (say, a large ballnose) to make nice patterns. I do this already with my CNC and have used Grasshopper to help in some ways (see my site: vvander.com), but would still like to figure out a good definition for this. Thanks for the reply Eric, I like the textures on your site, pretty much what I am trying to figure out. It would be nice if I could do this with grasshopper because it seems like it would be easy to manipulate in so many different ways. I have been at this off and on for about a week and I feel like it is right in front out me.
