algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all,
While exporting files as .DWG, grasshopper keep asking for the export scheme.
is there any way that i can set a specific scheme as default so GH will automatically use it without asking me to choose one? as doing the same thing for 1000 files would be really time consuming.
Thanks

Hi Sam,
Yes, this is possible in Rhino 5 directly:
In Rhino 4, you can use the "_-" version of Export, _-Export . It will still prompt for the scheme, but you can set it in the command line script, if you are using one.
I hope this helps. If it does not, I would need a little more information about what you are trying to automate.

Hi Giulio,
Thank you for your reply,
So that's the case, i`m using Rhino 4 then its not gonna happen!
I used grasshopper import-export loop to manipulate groups of geometries for 1000 files!..so i guess i have no choice but clicking on the scheme for each and every file!
Thanks a lot

I'm not sure about a Grasshopper import-export loop...
Is it a custom script or add-on? Can you edit it?
If you need more help, you will probably need to send a (small) sample.

I`ve attached my definition, you may find it non professional as i have started to work with Grasshopper for less than a month! :) even though I still have a lot to learn, i managed to get what i needed! except one thing..I was willing to group the objects before exporting (while keeping their actual layers) but seems like this will not work for this definition.
thanks

You should ask Nicholas de Monchaux for this feature inside the local code group. It seems it would something that would not take them too much time.
I hope this helps,

I set up a defionition that takes they layers and saves them seperated as a .dwg using the local code. i would like to not switch the slider to export. But when i animate it , the slider moves too fast, so rhino can not process some of the layers with to many objects. Can i combine the animation of the slider with the timer. Or maybe there is some other way to loop this whole thing?
any help appreciated!
File attached
Thanks,
Phillip
