Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if this is a software or user error- but a simple trim command followed by mirror has stopped working in this definition.

Basically, the file is to modify curves that form sections of a human body to be lofted into a surface, with controls for size on the bust, legs, neck etc. The curves are for one half of the body which was being trimmed by a central plane and then mirrored to complete the body.

The trim operation is now returning a runtime warning, which seems strange as the surfaces are looking fine to me and I can't think of any reason for an error?

If anyone is able to take a quick look at the attached definition and 3dm file that would be great!

It looks like it works if you move your trim plane a little tiny bit in x or -x direction (like -0.01), but thats not a real fix.

Probably a bug.

After checking, I think your problem may be coming from using a definition wrote with an earlier version of GH, I dont really have any solution except from reverting to older version or rewriting from scratch.

Thanks Systemiq,

I may be able to live with moving the plane a bit!

When I have time, I will try re writing the definition in the latest release only.

Cheers!
