algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there,

can anyone please explain me why, the component divide domain2 + isotrim works when i have lofted circles (lofted in z direction); whereas the same definition doesn't work when i replace circle with any polygon, say for this instance a pentagon?...I'm confused here...

thank you guys (& girls) :-D

The circular tube has one seam meaning it's a single surface.  The polygonal tube has multiple seams so it's a polysurface (brep).  Explode the brep then use it as input parameter for the Divide surface component.
Tuan,

thank you very much for ur reply and suggestion. However, i too had thought that way and tried using explode BREP. In that case divide domain does not give any errors but ISOTRIM turns orange. Moreover, i had tired using, GRAFT AND FLATTEN for this definition too, but none worked so far!!!
