Thanks Luis, this is helpful, if you get access to your other version id love to take a look.

Also if anyone has an example of fixed points using the Kangaroo components it would be nice to see a working example.

Hey there.  Did you ever make any progress on this?  I'm looking to model umbrella mechanics as well... will start from scratch but would love to look at an example.

Hi Marc,

Here's a quick demo

In the current version it's only possible to constrain to a static curve, but the line-based forces will soon allow proper sliding constraints on/between moving curves

Hi Daniel Piker, thanks for sharing the definition, it is very helpful. But I encounter problems to run it due to some missing curves in it, would you mind to share the model as well? Thanks!

Hi Lee, thanks for pointing this out, it seems there is something going wrong with the internalized data between different grasshopper versions. I've resaved from the latest gh, so hopefully they show up properly now:

Hi Daniel,

I was going to look at this file but I'm having the same problem with the missing curves.  I'm using gh 0.9.0070 with kangaroo 0096.

Hi Daniel!  it is  a really good example.     

is it possible to ask you to add 3dm  file or either internalise data  for curves that  go into   springs once more, the new gh version erased  the  data.

if it is possible could i ask you to share the example with line-based forces  ?
