Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have this mesh. And I was wondering if it would be possible to perhaps flatten it somehow to have it appear more like the drawn image??

Thank you

Use Rhino's "_Make2D" command.

If your geometry is a mesh, than extract mesh edges first or it would be better to convert your mesh to Brep first.

Is it possible to do this in Grasshopper?

Sorry you may have misunderstood. I need to make the mesh simply transform in such a way that it's flat like as in the drawn image

Basically I want the mesh to become much more simplified than it is (like in the drawn image)

Hey.

Did I misunderstand or did you misrepresent?

Anyway, so you'd like to develop your mesh onto a plane like your perspective view like shape?(Even some faces hidden under other faces?)

Furthermore, you'd like to simplify all faces and only remain boundary edges?

Then, how can you define your boundaries with your complex mesh form like your first image?

If you have an idea on that, please let me know.
