I don't really see a sense in doing these trivial shapes in grasshopper, when you are able to build them with very few Rhino commands manually.

Tom, this model for a piece of jewelry (a ring) has fifteen(?) visible parameters for customizing a part to an individual's personal requirements. It's a perfect application for GH and doesn't need any other UI than these standard GH components.

I have no idea why the image sampler is there or what it does but I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss this approach to building a GH model. I have built a few myself with very similar blocks of UI parameter components.

Yes, I am a jewelry designer, I use gemvision matrices to design, it has functions like rhino and has more features like gems, prong ..vv, very good for jewelry design . But rhino and matrix are difficult to modify models. grasshopper doing this very well, i'm a newbie so i'm having trouble with grasshopper, communication language is the hardest for me .i'm not good at english, thanks for helping me

You can see hidden wires by simply clicking on each component; any hidden wires connected to it will be revealed. In a complex model, hidden wires can really help make things more legible, especially for components or values that are widely used by many components.

thank you, in grasshopper i have problems with prongs and gems, it's not like what i need, can tell me how i can create tools to work to my liking. Do I have to learn python?

You don't necessarily need Python, no, but you might find it handy to install Anemone (for looping) and check out this thread:

There have been other examples posted here over the years of Grasshopper used for jewelry design that are really amazing.
