algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
I am trying to use the Surface Morph component for the first time and I can't get something to work. I've gotten close to the result I want but there is an issue that seems to be related to the "seam" of the surface I am trying to map onto. The morphed geometry doesn't cover all of the surface. There are areas on the surface where no morphed geometry goes.
I followed some tutorials about Surface Morph but they are using the component with very planar surfaces.
The surface I want to use to map onto is a swept surface similar to a sphere. Can anyone help to point out what I am over looking?

Could it be a topology issue? Should the reference surface be constructed in a way that is similar to the topology of the surface that is used to map on to?
I have tried making the initial source surface in different ways. I started with a disc that was built by sweeping two arcs. Then I tried a cylinder. I tried dividing their construction curves in segments similar to my target surface but that didn't work also. The last thing I tried was using the construction of the source surface used in the following discussion: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/morph-on-surface
But that didn't work also.
