Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello guys!

i have got some surfaces. now i want to offset the edges of each brep by the length of each edge. after that i want to join them again. this should be the frames of a voronoicell. the dimension of a frameedge should adapt to the span it has to take.

now i got 2 problems:

1. how to offset all outlines of the brep inwards

2. how to join them again

it would be great if you could help me!

thanks max

hey thank you for your help! but i need a definition to offset the edges by the length of the edge( if the edge is long, the offset is more than the offset at a shorter one) i am doning a ingeneering construction course. so its important to find the right dimension of the frames for the voronoi cell. it would be wrong if all edges of the frame would have the same dimension. it would be cool to have something like that at the end. each edge has length/10...

ok u wanna make u life easy ,,,, go download geomgym tools and use sdrnetworks component

its so easy ,, also doing it with grasshopper that one is just is for major

yes i got it... do you know how to use it?
yep
but john is so nice that if u ask him i am sure he is  gonna help u
