Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey all:

So a quick question, any input would be great.

I’m creating a curved surface using a loft through 2 Bezier span lines. I’ve accomplished this and added a point subdivision grid. This allows me to change each curve and the resulting lofted geometry and number of points.

What I want to do now is find a way to assign 3 different geometries (3 varying tentacle type things) onto all the points I have. I want the 3 geometries to be assigned to points randomly, and then be able to change and vary the scale on random geometry.

Anybody have any ideas/tips? Would be appreciated, thanks everyone!

I've added a plane normal, and have been able to add some Grasshopper geometry (cone's) but can't get my regular geomtry to appear, any ideas?

Also, any tips on how to add geometry and adjust random factors like scale and orientation?

Can you post the definition rather than just a picture of it?  Saves a lot of time when looking at someone elses work.

Good call, thanks.

You should be able to get the random scaling along the same lines.  Post if you get stuck.
