Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello

Do you know why the number is rounded? How to keep the true value ?

 Thank you

File--> Preferences-->Display--->change "D-Decimals"  and then go to Solution menu -->Recompute(F5)

Usually Grasshopper rounds to six decimal places, not two. However this is a setting that can be changed so it could be any number:

In general you should never run data through a panel because the panel converts it to text. Sometimes this text can be translated back into the original data again losslessly (like with booleans, integers and colours), sometimes details get lost (like when rounding floating point values), sometimes it's not possible at all (like with curves or meshes).

You can of course use panels to inspect data, just don't run data through a panel and expect it to come out the same as it went in.

great, thank you. (I had to modify this data without knowing what it was)
Yes I used the panel to check my data but it's good to know ;-)
