algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a simple way to substitute geometry in grasshopper onto a series of planes. I have a grasshopper definition that I have attached, but it seems to be quite complicated.
The definition takes a series of curves in plan, extrudes them and then places them in a grid onto a surface.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Upload .3dm file or internalize data for all geometry components in grasshopper ( right click the geometry component and click "internalize geometry").
Best,

Grasshopper file attached with internalized geometry.

Hi -thanks for the tip. It looks like a much cleaner and simpler way to run this through grasshopper.
I have a few questions:
1. Is it possible to adapt the script slightly so that it can handle a more complex surface? I am imagining that it will still be planar, but not rectilinear - see attached grasshopper file. I am trying to find a way to keep the regular grid, but chop the top of the upper elements off to align with the angle of the vertical surface.
2. What does the 'w-domain' do here?
Many thanks for your help.

Hey - thanks for the help.
It's nearly there, but not quite what I was thinking. I need all the horizontal cuts to remain horizontal (i.e. a specific floor height in a building) and then only the top set of modules to be angled. I've attached a screenshot of my Rhino model where I have made the alterations to the top set manually so that you can see what I mean.
I guess this gets a bit more complicated.. Would you have to treat the whole and the angled pieces separately?
Thanks again for the help
