MapSrf component maps curves but not the surfaces

Hi, 

I am trying to map a pattern (a square pyramid) onto a cylinder. However, it looks like only the curves from the pattern are getting mapped to the cylinder. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong? I would like the surfaces of the pattern to map to the cylinder also.

you are using mapsrf component...this imputs only curves
