algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi guys,
I want to divide a triangular surface by vertical and horizontal dividing method, how can I do that? I don't obtain the desired result as all the vertical lines go to one point (fig. 1).
Also, I intend to distribute a pattern (fig. 2 | any shape) with similar distribution result, how point attractor can control where to not have holes? I mean make more solid areas where I need.
Thank you

You can use a rectangular surface and trim it diagonally. This way you keep isocurves perpendicular to each other.
Use Cull Pattern to remove holes that are smaller then some threshold value.
Thank you Max
Max my surface is twisted it is not straight as you can see in figure 1 when I try to divide the trimmed face it still gives me the full surface division as before the trimming.
When I trim the divided surface the result is only a few polygons next to the diagonal side (trimmed side) figure 2.
I have attached the .GH file if you look at it.
Thanks
if it's not on planar you can use Surface Closest Point to find and remove surfaces that don't belong to the desired triangle. See the def
I got the point. Thanks a lot.
Thanks a lot Max.
