Moving point proportionally with gene pool, looking for a different approach

I'm trying to move control points proportionally. I move the individual control points along curve normals with the Gene Pool sliders, and I can scale all movement by using the top slider, which basically multiplies all values by that constant to move all points at once.

I was wondering if maybe there was a more intuitive way to do this, because scaling the movement of the points along the curve normals by using individual sliders results in a bit of a mess. If I could use for example the Graph Mapper or some other spline I could drag to scale the individual points that would be wonderful.

A rhino curve can also be used to generate values. Here, the far left edge of the bounding box surrounding a curve is used as a start point. The distance from the left edge to the curve, along an x vector, generates distances. You could unitize this by remapping all of the numbers from the bounding box width domain to a domain of 0 to 1.

Could you maybe share the GH file you used? As a complete novice in GH I'm not quite sure what every component is and it would be great if I could use these as a starting point.

EDIT: I also don't seem to have to same possibilities as you have. I'm trying to recreate your GH file but it simply does not work for me. I also can't find certain components.
