algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi;

Is there any way I could define this mask with the sequence you can see in this picture more "automatically", using a trick like the ? or * ?

I could have to select a very long list of items and it is tedious to do it manually.

Thanks,

Joan

Hi Joan, it might be over complicating it, but I generally do this combining pieces of text together with the concatenate component:

Hi Mire;

Thanks for your reply.

I have to say that when I first saw your suggestion last night I found it little "crappy", but after playing with it for a while I realized it could be a good solution when I get stuck in a similar situation, but still had the feeling there should be another way, so I continued playing around my definition until ( I do not how ) after flattening and grafting some inputs and outputs here and there I got all the items on the same branch, and then I could define my mask by the following way :

I have now to comprehen what I did, but it worked.

If someone can explain it then it would be very much appreciated.

I know that the understanding of data trees and mask definitions are essential, but though I have seen the David's videos explaining all of that, it is still sometimes quite dificult for me to construct or modify a tree in the way I need to treat the data.
I need much more practice on that before I get deeper in GH. Actually I made that particular definition to try to understand and practice on that.

Anyway, thanks so much for you suggestion, I keep it inside my tricks pocket, ready to be used for a similar cul-de-sac .

Best,

Joan
