Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

Is there a way to have a comparison of the data in two trees within the same branch for all branches of the trees ?

For example compare and find identical values for branch {3} in tree 1 and branch {3} in tree 2. But also for all other branches in both trees. Both trees have the same number of branches.

If I were to do it for only the one branch, I would do it like so:

But I can't do that as from project to project I never know how many branches there are going to be plus there are way too many branches to do them individually like so.

If I do a similar "Equals" with "graft" on one side but for the complete trees (above and below the 2 "Mindex" on the left), the comparison isn't only with the same branch, it compares with all and in a strange way that I can't make sense of.

So is there a way to do that type of comparison without ten thousand boxes ?

Thanks

Hi.

Why don't you use "Set Intersection"?

Amazing, thanks !

I'm fairly new to Grasshopper so I'm not familiar with all tools. Thats exactly what I needed.

I'm using this to find identical branches in a single tree and keep only unique ones, which I can do but with many boxes. Is there a component for this too ?

"Set Difference"

This is not what I meant.

See in the following picture: one list as input, one list as output that contains only unique branches.

Not sure this is helpful, anyway...

That's exactly what I needed ! Thanks again !
